Beijing/Suzhou, May 9th, 2025—pursuant to the announcement previously made by Innoscience (Suzhou) Technology Holding Co., Ltd. in HKEX, Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Innoscience (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (collectively the “Innoscience”) filed complaints (2024) Su 05 Minchu No. 1430 and (2024) Su 05 Minchu No. 1431 to the Intermediate People’s Court of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, PRC against Infineon Technologies (China) Co., Ltd. (“Infineon China”), Infineon Technologies (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. (“Infineon Wuxi”) and Suzhou Chipswork Electronics Technologies Co., Ltd. (“Chipswork”) .
After Intermediate People’s Court of Suzhou City accepted the cases, Infineon China and Infineon Wuxi raised two objections to jurisdiction. Intermediate People’s Court of Suzhou City later made rulings and rejected Infineon’s jurisdictional objections after examination.
Subsequently, Infineon China and Infineon Wuxi disagreed with the first-instance rulings on jurisdictional objections and appealed to the Supreme People's Court, requesting the revocation of two rulings issued by first-instance court on the jurisdictional objections and transfer the cases to the Wuxi Intermediate People's Court for trial. The Supreme People's Court examined and found, Chipswork is one of the proper defendants in two Suzhou cases, and has its domicile located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, which falls within the jurisdiction of the first-instance court. Therefore, the first-instance court has jurisdiction. Based on such ground, the Supreme People's Court dismissed appeal petition made by Infineon China and Infineon Wuxi, and affirmed two rulings issued by first-instance court on the jurisdictional objections.
The complete victory on this stage by winning disputes over jurisdiction provided solid ground for Innoscience to further proceed with two Suzhou cases. Innoscience will continue to actively prepare strong evidence and fully promote the development of the cases to defend its legitimate rights and interests to the greatest extent, meanwhile contributing to the healthy development of the industry.
